Slime Factory Night

Southside Church & Community Center was full of energy, laughter, and a whole lot of slime during our Slime Factory Night, and what a fun evening it turned out to be.
The evening began with dinner together as families, volunteers, and community members gathered around tables to share food and conversation. One of the things we love most about Southside is that these moments around the table matter just as much as the activities themselves. They create space for people to slow down, connect, and simply enjoy being together.
After dinner, the kids headed downstairs to the Slime Factory where the excitement immediately kicked into high gear.
Tables quickly filled with colorful slime creations as kids mixed glitter, beads, colors, and all kinds of fun ingredients together to create their own unique masterpieces. Everywhere you looked there were huge smiles, laughter, and kids proudly showing off their stretchy creations to anyone nearby.
But what made the evening truly special was more than just the slime.
It was watching friendships form naturally. It was seeing children feel welcomed and excited to be there. It was hearing conversations between families and seeing people relax and enjoy community together. Nights like this continue to remind us that church can be a joyful, welcoming space where people of all ages can connect and belong.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the evening possible, from preparing the meal to setting up the Slime Factory and helping clean up afterward. It truly took a team effort to create such a meaningful and joy-filled night.
And yes… there was definitely slime everywhere.
