Our Community
People of The United Methodist Church
We are people of The United Methodist Church and we welcome everyone and we believe that God's grace is open to everyone, which is why we practice open Communion—anyone is welcome to participate.
We also believe that salvation is a gift from God, freely offered and personally received.
We value being a community where there is room for questions, conversation, and even differences, while staying united in Christ's love.

Pastor
Pastor Mike has been serving our community with passion and dedication for over 10 years. He brings a heart for pastoral care, biblical teaching, and community outreach to his ministry.
Kade Rogers
Director of Ministry
Kade Rogers is the Director of Ministry at Southside Church, offering leadership and vision focused on empowering others, building community, and creating welcoming spaces of faith.
Grace Lee
Campus Pastor
Grace serves as the Campus Pastor at Southside Church, where she provides spiritual leadership, care, and guidance to the congregation and surrounding community.
Jessica Anderson
Director of Music
Jessica is a gifted musician who leads our worship with thoughtfulness and creativity. She curates a meaningful blend of traditional and contemporary music, thoughtfully selecting songs that help our congregation connect with God each Sunday. Jessica also enriches our worship through leading the choir and bell choir, and by organizing special music that brings beauty and depth to our services.
Carter Smalley
Audio Visual
Carter serves on the AV Team at Southside Church, helping support the technical side of worship and gatherings. From sound to visuals to livestream support, Carter works behind the scenes to help create a smooth and meaningful experience for those in the room and those joining online.
Sunny Farrell
Children's Ministry
Sunny serves as the Children’s Director at Southside Church, where she leads and supports the church’s ministry with children and their families. She is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel valued.
Cindy Spurr
Worship Arts Director
Cindy serves in Worship Arts and Decorating at Southside Church, helping create meaningful and welcoming spaces for worship and gatherings. Through thoughtful design and creative touches, she helps shape environments that reflect the season, the message, and the heart of the community.
Faye Clark
Custodian & Meal Team
Serving faithfully behind the scenes, our Custodian and Food Prep team helps care for both our space and our community. From keeping the building clean, safe, and welcoming to preparing and supporting meals for gatherings, their work makes ministry possible in countless ways.

Our Heritage and Practice

John Wesley started the Methodist movement in 18th century England. His teachings on practical divinity (living out our faith) and appeals to reason and experience form important aspects of United Methodist practice today.
United Methodists are active in their communities through:

- Advocating for social justice and addressing poverty, hunger, and inequality
